Sorry to get up on the soap box; but our film office & film tax incentive program is in jeopardy!

"We have a governor that says JOBS is his number one priority. Why then, would his office submit a budget that eliminates a state office that GENERATES jobs? This state office responds to firms looking to do business in WV, they actively recruit prospects to bring their work here, they assist businesses that are already based here, they respond to hundreds, if not thousands, of inquiries annually and assists with locations, permits, finding a trained workforce? The economic impact of the West Virginia Film Office far exceeds the cost of running it. It's brought home a lot of paychecks to West Virginia residents. And nurtured an industry that annually generates millions of dollars IN West Virginia. Please tell the Governor's Office, and your legislators, that cutting off a revenue source IS NOT in our state's best interests."
